Help Needed To Resolve My Insomnia Issues?

Does anyone have any tips to help me with insomnia. Sleep deprivation is not a fun thing to live with.

I don’t like taking pills and would love some natural / alternative solutions to this problem.

Thanks in advance.

I have a couple of suggestions.

1. set a bedtime—>you don’t have to force yourself to go to bed at that time, but just keep it in mind (think to yourself "I SHOULD be in bed by now…")

2. DO NOT have a tv or computer on any time after your bedtime. The artificial light tricks your brain into thinking it’s time to wake up… meaning you don’t think you feel sleepy… even if you really are.

3. Have something in the background playing that will keep your mind from wandering. I like to listen to comedy or radio stories on itunes. I don’t like music because it lets my mind wander. But listening to someone talking keeps me from worrying or thinking about stuff which can keep me awake.

4. Set your phone to go automatically on silent after your bedtime so you won’t jump out of bed when your friends text you.

5. Have some herbal tea (they have no caffeine) about an hr before bedtime. If you do this every night, you will start to fall into a pattern or a ritual and it will become more and more easy because your brain will register drinking tea with getting ready for bed… you can choose another ritual if you want (like calming yoga or reading a book) but it should be relaxing and not require any artificial light.. Once the pattern is set, you will be snoozing on time every night.

I hope that helps, and good luck!! <3<3<3

  2. try dinking a chamomile tea, lavender also has a very calming soothing effect. Also a warm bath before you go to bed can help you relax.

  3. Smoke weed
    It’s 100% natural!
If you don’t want to smoke it, you can always vaporize it!
Weed let’s you sleep, clams you down, stimulates your brain

    P.S.
All this crap about weed killing brain cells is based on research done on monkeys. Researchers took some monkeys and gassed them with pure T.H.C. for 5 minutes a day (equal to 30 joints a day in under 2 minutes). The monkeys brain cells died because of lack of oxygen during those 5 minutes of being gassed.

  4. I second the smoking of weed. It’s the only thing I found to cure my insomnia; keeps me on a regular sleeping pattern so I am rested, and productive in the morning. Plus it’s all natural, grows out the ground, not addictive, and has never caused a death, ever! Marijuana is not a drug, it is a plant. If you live in a medical marijuana state you should definitely look into getting a recommendation.
