Chronic Insomnia – No Solution?

I been experiencing Insomnia for years now. It is called chronic insomnia. Tried all kinds of remedies everything from drugs to herbs and other formulas.

The drugs, do make me sleep – say 4 hours, but the effect next day is terrible.

Herbals are effective, yet only in the beginning but after couple of days do not work, and go for another herbal supplement, and so on.

Tried exercise, yet it only make me more hyper!! And more deprived of restful sleep.

Is there anything left on this planet that one can try and solve this life debilitating issue? Short of going into hospital and receiving injection (anesthesia) !!!
Done all types of physical and blood exams. All okay. Except for some minor liver problem – resulting from use of Alcohol and cigarette smoke. Even when I quit alcohol, still no sleep.

When I had insomnia I tried everything just like you, I went to the doctor and was prescribed sleeping pills, tried taking hebal supplements which even though it didnt work a hundred percent, the herbal does work better that the prescription meds now. If I were you I would keep doing research and try sleepy-time tea. For some reason that helped me a whole lot. Try to sit down ith some of that take a deep breat and try to relax aand watch a movie or listen to some soothig music. One thing about insomnia is,… it cant las forever, at some point your mind will need to shut you body down so it can re-coop. Another thing is, I found out I have ADD, a lot of adults have it. I was given ADD meds by the doc. The meds actually help me focus 110% better, and somewhat slows my mind down to where I can focus on sleeping when need be. Talk to your doctor about this. A lot of people take ADD meds to stay awake, those people abuse them. My body, and maybe yours too, is chemically backwards. When I take this medicine it calms me down and doesnt make me so hyper.

  1. One of my neighbours suffers from sensitivity to radio waves. There are 2 towers at the opposite ends of the street. He had to move because of that sensitivity.
Other things could be electronic equipment in the room (wireless phones, fishbowls with pump computers I-Pod etc ))
    anxiety,
On a personal level, one of mu friends suffers from the after effects of shingles. The itch won’t let him
sleep.Peppermint tea seems to help him.Warm bath and warm water to drink after that.
On a personal level a warm water drink and some sweet food. Dried figs, dates.
It could be due to hypoglycemia or low blood sugar.Worth testing
