How to Stay Healthy in this Sinking Economy
My Health Conscious Partners
Thinking positive is the the answer for the crises
Negative Thinking Will Sink You Faster than the Titanic
Right now, for instance, you might be thinking worst case scenarios. What ever you are thinking,
You fall into one of three types of thinkers.
These things are quite possible and are actually happening
to many, is it me next?. Probably these things will happen to others and I’m too fearful to think
clearly about alternavtives. These are remote possibilities, however, there must be some opportunities in all of this
that I can make use of right now. These are three ways of thinking that can either make you or break you.
If you’re in the first category, you’re thinking, “What will I do if this economy kills my job … or my client’s company?
How will I pay the phone and utility bills? My mortgage, car and credit card payments?
Will I wind up broke and homeless? What will I do then?”
Or if you own a business, you’re thinking “What if sales get so bad, I have to begin
laying off my friends?” And worse: “What if I have to fire myself and close my doors for good?
What will become of my family then?
Thinking like that can lead to paranoia. A lot of people expecially those of you in the USA are
thinking about and worrying about these things right now.
Do You Think I’m Out of Touch With Reality?Come on, get real! I’m not being naive here, you’re right to think that way, because this economy stinks.
It stinks more with every passing week.
And tragically, millions of you all around the globe —
are already living your worst nightmare.
Make Your Thoughts Control Your Life
Whatever happens to you in this life, is not really the events that you experience,
but rather, it’s your reaction to the events, the ways in which you process and react to them.
What triggers your emotional reaction to an event is the
way you think about the event, not the event itself.
For example, let’s say you were made reduntant from your job, as a result of this economical crisis,
there are two ways to respond to this situation.
One, you can put those worst case scenarios in motion, so you start worrying about what is
going to happen to you and your family who depends on you as the main bread winner.
You start asking yourself questions like, "what did I do wrong?", "why am I so bad-lucky"?
"why did it have to happen to me"? "when will I, if ever, get another job"? "will anyone else hire me"?
"How am I going to pay my bills and meet other financial needs"? So you dress yourself up with worry
and decided to go to this "pity party" with your victim mentality.
With all these questions and worry come
stress, headache, depression, frustration, blur thinking,
anger, anxiety, pain and sickness. You start telling yourself all the bad things that might happen
to you and your family from now on.
All of the dark possibilities are searched for and highlighted. You are now becoming helpless and hopeless,
as your imagination running wild busy creating a very dark future. You are now busy trying to find solutions for
problems that you have created.
With more frustration setting in, because you can’t see your way out of this unfortunate
situation that you find yourself in, you are falling deeper in depression. You are now seeing
the whole situation as totally hopeless and suicide may be the best way out.
You may now be acting in a weird, inappropriate and even violent manner. All of this started by
you thinking negative and created your own future in your mind.
Now let us look at the other way of dealing with the matter, you could deal with
the same situation, with your mind set
to think positive. Being made redundant, you could see that as a total package of blessing in disguise.
You could now think of ways to liberate yourself from your nine to five job and become your own boss.
Now you start thinking like an inforepreneur, a business person. You are imagining yourself
managining your own company with employees to deal with.
Or even better than that, you are thinking of the perfect business.
You are thinking about working for yourself from home.
Just imagine the idea of staying in your bed until your are finish sleeping.
Just imagine finding time to eat a proper meal with your family in the morning.
Just imagine not having to get into the rush hour traffic that can be so stressful.
Just think about earning what you are really worth. Do you know that on the job,
we are not being paid what we are worth? We are being paid just enough to keep us from quitting!
Great posibilities are always there, if only we would use our energy more productively.
So in this sinking economy I want to offer you a solution. There is always a solution to match any problem.
And that solution is to pile up as much cash as you can as quickly as you can, beginning right now.
Here is a solution from Clayton Makepeace a successful network marketer, who Knows what he’s talking about.
He said, at a time like this, cash is KING.
At a time like this, having many months or even years of money in your mattress is the best cure for insomnia.
Money to make sure you’ll never have a moment’s worry no matter how bad things get.
Don’t have enough cash to see you through a couple of years of hard times? Then you
need a skill that guarantees you’ll be able to keep on raking in good money no matter what.
And guess what? You do. Or at least, you’re off to a darned great start by reading this article.
In the Great Depression, companies that offered people things that helped them cope got richer. What’s the lesson here?
in every situation there are opportunities to grasp.
In times like these, your reaction to the situation can either make you and others better or worse.
I understand that the entire cosmetics industry was born in the depths of The Great Depression!
Seems that offering the ladies a little inexpensive luxury — a small guilty pleasure
— made the people who made and sold lipstick and rouge and eye makeup filthy, stinking rich.
If you do not have the cash right now to work with, here is an amazing opportunity to develop a
skill and start rake in cash faster than your timid brain can imagine.
It is really not difficult to change your life in this terrible economy, but you first
must have the desire and the will to change and do something different, something positive.
Change starts from in your mind, from inside out.
Believe in Self and Seize the Opportunity
Just believe in yourself, you can become quite remarkable when you start thinking that you can do things.
When you believe in yourself, you have the first secret of success.
Always try to see the posibilities in any seemingly unfortunate situation. Listen this,
In every difficult situation is potential value. Believe this, then begin looking for it.
Whatever you cultivate and cherish you’ll produce.
The difference between can and cannot are only three letters. Three letters that determine your life’s direction.
And whatever you do, don’t forget that no matter what, there will still be rich and even super-rich people out there.
People who are still being positive regardless of what is happening around them.
So don’t despair my friend; and whatever you do, do NOT panic. At times like this, you need a clear head.
And you need to NOT be one of those guys who wants to surrender five minutes after the war begins.
Disregard any feelings of laziness or a desire to quit. Never think about giving up, if you persevere, you
will transform the way your mind thinks. Change your thinking and change your life. I wish you Good Health and Prosperity.

Are atheists more successful in life than religious people? why?
Let’s say that all that matters is the present moment.
To me a person who is successful would be a person who has a way to express themselves creatively & this can be through a career for example.
good relationships if that is what they want or time alone if they would prefer that.
good health or at least the ability to function well.
Financial security.
I would like to set a New Year’s Resolution to get my life up to a level of where I want it to be financially.
I got knocked out by the unexpected family tragedy.
Then I turned to spirituality since religion didn’t work for me.
I was a good person who went through some bad things in life.
So I am finished with religion. I want to now let go of the belief in spirituality but I don’t know how to be successful without believing I have to focus my mind on the energy of the Universe working for me.
I have a lot of obstacles when it comes to making money.
I live very far from an area that is busy so I depend on a very rural area to prosper & so far it has been really difficult. I don’t like the religious control in the conservative area I live in but I love my house & property so don’t want to more closer to the action.
I am not young, educated, I can’t use a computer, I have trouble with my memory, I have all kinds of reasons I have been really stuck yet I have come a long way from where I was which was probably dying from diabetes.
I have a car but it has been broke down for a year & is expensive to fix. I have no money.
I don’t have a website or anyone who can make one for me. I tried but couldn’t do it. I wanted to be an organizer/coach over the phone. I am really good at helping others improve their life.
So as a spiritual person I would call places for people to pray for me & I did feel better but no measurable results resulted.
So atheists how do you solve problems if you are in a rut like I am. I don’t have any friends I can count on or family.
My son is very successful but I don’t want to bother him cause I have needed him so much since the death of his brother. Now I want to get my life together so he can feel like he is free to live his own life.
So spirituality offered me so much but delivered me peace but not money.
Am I blocking myself because I have no logic & if so how do I learn how to think differently when all I have known comes from books such as the power of positive thinking & The Secret.
I want to take another path but don’t understand how getting rid of this crazy thoughts will help me. Do you think that letting go of the metaphysical beliefs will actually help me see more clearly?
thank you I do appreciate any help.
Oh one thing I wanted to do was get a work at home job & wasn’t able to do do that cause I got rid of my phone & only have a cell phone & I can’t use a computer except for internet & e-mail.
ATHEISM FAILS AGAIN-Please explain your answer cause it means nothing to me unless you do anyone can make a comment as you have with no proof. Be speciific. Thank you.
Golddigger: I did work hard when I was younger & it literally burned me out. Diabetes is about being drained.
Tara- people like you are the reason why I don’t turn to Christianity for anything. How can you hate people so much & say you are a Christian?
i tihnk u wasted ur time with all them words im not gonna read that but i tell u atheists r NOT mor successful us christians good moral woman are

I went through a similar thing and all I can say is I am happier, healthier and better off than I was. Superstition just plagues you with guilt and fear. Relying on yourself, taking responsibility for yourself and not some magical solution is hard, but just keep at it.
Visit sceptics websites, and exchristian.net if you need support. But always ask yourself "why do I believe this, where is the evidence…"
Good luck!
(EDIT: It does sound like you may have some health issues too, that you aren’t completely over your PTSD/depression. Leaving superstition behind is not a miracle cure, but it might help you think a little more clearly)

(Just think of Bill Gates and Warren Buffett!)
Your problem is not a matter of theism, nor is it relevant to religious beliefs or a lack thereof. The trouble lies in your anxiety and how it is related to your PTSD (possibly even Bipolar Disorder?).

i don’t think it makes a difference. success is kinda based on personality and decision making…. and "bad luck" doesn’t have to be some cosmic divine intervention. could be that something terrible just happened while things were bad. and i’m pretty sure god isn’t going to give you a million dollars, no matter how hard you pray

"ATHEISM FAILS AGAIN"
Kid, atheism isn’t a doctrine, it’s simply the alternative to theism which is also not a doctrine… they are both nothing but religious positions regarding the existence of invisible sky critters.
" I can’t use a computer except for internet & e-mail"
And atheism is to blame?
LuLz
It sounds like you want to blame something or someone…
Take responsibility for your own actions…
Sometimes in life shiit just happens… get over it.
1. There is NO evidence which points to an imaginary psychopath in space suffering cerebral palsy, uncontrollably waving his arms about, creatin’ stuff outa nothin’ for no discernable reason.
2. Just by the SIMPLE act of looking around anyone can see that shït happens to all and sundry regardless of ANY thought, deed or circumstance, exactly as if there was NO invisible space chappie pulling any strings at all.
The world works exactly as you’d expect if there were no god.
Reality is a tough gig… it’s not for the faint-hearted.

I don’t know if atheists are generally more "successful" than theists. Or happier. Or anything. By and large and looking at a large enough group, I think it all averages out.
But you want to make some changes in your life. In general, you can’t go from zero to where you want to be in one easy step.
A lot of what you seem to want revolves around switching from "magical thinking" (all religions, and such new-agey fluff like the secret) to critical thinking. There are a lot of online resources to help you, like
http://philosophy.hku.hk/think/
http://www.criticalthinking.org/aboutCT/define_critical_thinking.cfm
and possibly more.
Next, your job thing. You can learn to use computers, if it is relevant to your needs. You’ve learned to use them for email and internet. The only thing stopping you is you.
But is it really feasible when your own life is still a mess to set up a home job where you try to help others? Aren’t you biting off more than you can chew here? Perhaps you could first try a regular job (I don’t know what your skills are), saving some money, and then try for the home thing.
And finally, don’t be afraid of leaning on your family – you’ve raised your son to be a successful man, he can and will help you out.
