I have a couple of books that have lots of natural cures.

One of them Tom Brown’s Field Guide To wilderness Survival author: Tom Brown (of course) it has a section about plants and it shows other uses for the plants. The uses could be medical, or just helpful when you are stuck in the middle of no where.

The other is called Natural Medicines and Cures the Doctor Never Tells About author: the staff of FC&A. Some of the alternative cures have to do with herbs, and others are just everyday items. It also has good tips on preventing diseases.
It says for the cold use dried leaves and flowers of the Hyssop plant to make a tea (tea helps with colds, well some kinds) that helps with colds.
You can also finely chop 9 leaves from the Horehound plant, mix it with 1 table spoon of honey, and eat slowly. Repeat process as many times as necessary.

It also has a few other remedies for colds. These books can help a lot.

    Hope this info helps :)
(I would say something cool like Love Light and Peace but I don’t want to steal your idea.)
