For the past 3-4 months I have not been on a regular sleep schedule, not because of work or anything, I just can’t sleep. I try to go to sleep around 11 or so, and fail, I sit there, stare at the ceiling for the first hour, then turn on some music, its so boring I sit there for 7-8 hours trying to sleep, but can’t. Is this insomnia? Are there any solutions without taking medication or herbs?
I’m a very active person, not stressed out at all, and when I say Its very boring for 7 hours, I mean, I go to bed at 11 don’t sleep for 7 hours, then get up and go to school. Haven’t slept in 4 days, the days I do sleep its only for 30 minutes – 1 hour. I’m tired all the time, but I’m really hyper.
Stress is a leading factor in sleep deprivation, so if you’re stressed out, it makes sense that you’re having trouble getting to sleep.
DON’T do these right before bed:
-take a shower (the water will wake you up)
-eat products high in sugar/products with caffiene (DUH!)
-work out (the endorfins released actually wake you up)
-sit in front of the TV or computer

Clearly, this is Insomnia. You might already know this, but Insomnia is when you can’t sleep for several days. These are two solutions that I know about, but one might suprise you!
1. Lay flat on your back. Relax all your muscles. Breathe in and out deeply, and clear your thoughts. After that, you will be able to go to sleep! (This may not work for some people)
2. Count sheep! This is the most popular method that mostly everyone knows, and it’s a favorite. The trick to this is doing something boring for a long time. After that, you get sleepy and your eyes slowly blink, and you fall asleep.
Hope this helped you in any way! (^^> aww cute bird LOL!
