Are you looking for the effects of stress. If you are addicted to alcohol or drugs, this could be another reason why you are not sleeping throughout the night. Your insomnia may be due to this problem. If you are addicted to a substance, you need to get the help that you deserve. You can find out ways to get treatment from your doctor and from other healthcare providers.

This is good idea to do early on before you have any more damage happen to your body from this madness. Do not overeat. Larger meals will drain out your energy. Instead of eating a large meal, you need to eat three smaller meals throughout the day. You need to have your blood sugar and your insulin levels more even. You will also find it easier to loose body fat if you eat this way. You need to keep watch of what you eat so that you can dream away at night. Eating rich foods will help you out a lot when it comes to dieting.
About one third of the average persons life is spent sleeping. This means that sleep is very important to our health and us. Healthy sleep is more important. It is vital to a human’s body and it is going to be essential for the brain to function the way that it is intended. Other organs in the body also depend on the amount of sleep that a person gets to function properly.
Not getting enough sleep for any length of time can lead to mood disturbances. This is going to mean lack of motivation, decreased attention span, trouble with concentration, low levels of energy, and fatigue. These are all the signs that a person is not getting enough sleep for their body and mind to rest and relax.
Insomnia can have physical and psychological effects. The consequences of insomnia are not life threatening, however they are annoying. A person with insomnia will have concentration and memory problems. This can affect a person’s ability to perform daily tasks at home and at work. You should also try to limit the amount of television that you watch. Another idea is to limit the time that you spend on the computer. These items can literally drain the life out of you. You will be relaxed and calm when you are sitting in front of these electronics, however, you will also not feel like moving around and getting the exercise that is so necessary for a good nights rest.

A person that is not getting the right amount of sleep that their body needs may be having trouble with headaches. This is not uncommon. Not getting enough rest and sleep at night can make a person wake up with a terrible headache and may even have stomach problems. They may feel sick to their stomach and also have flu like symptoms as well.

Insomnia is a leading cause in the United States for decreased productivity. Each year insomnia will cost the United States over one billion dollars for the research and the lost work that is not getting done. This is a serious condition and one that has to be taken more seriously. There are more and more people living crazy and hectic lives. They are not allowing themselves enough time for rest and relaxation and this is leading to more severe problems for them and for others as well.

  1. The Incredible Sulk

Worrying about my exams is causing stress and interspersed sleep, how can I relax?
It’s 3:AM here in the UK and I just can’t stay asleep even though I did not sleep on saturday night and was a zombie all day yesterday. I am worrying about my university degree at an uncontrollable rate. Before I went to bed at 10pm there my last exam was the only thing on my mind, I dreamt about it and woke up at 12AM, then 1:45AM and 2:45AM. I felt that I had slept an entire night because I am used to having insomnia but when I finally get to sleep I’m usually out for the count. So ever since I woke up about an hour ago I read my programme handbook, and all about the consequences of failure. I debate my performance in the exams and worry that I have failed them all. And I worry that the course director won’t accept my coursework because I handed in the work late, and then handed in an EC1 form later but was too scared to give it to him in person. I am so scared, I realise the mistake that I made to be so relaxed about university. I haven’t actually failed a module before, but I think it’s possible for me to fail more than one this semester. What’s worst is that I have the hardest exam (management accounting) on wednesday and I have so much to do. How can I relax about it all? And if I have to repeat a year will I still receive financing? And would I be an idiot for having to repeat a year at uni?

  2. I’m in Australia, so don’t know about your local situation. See study, exam tips, and memory improvement in sections 13, & 41, at* http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris and find your learning style, and adapt. Join, or start study groups. Having a good, or at least, a well ordered memory makes study much easier, and less frustrating, so check out the memory improvement section in some detail. Motivation is addressed in section 28.

Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements*, daily: (certified free of mercury) it is best if consumed with an antioxidant, such as an orange, or its FRESHLY SQUEEZED juice. If vitamin E is added, it should be certified as being 100% from natural sources, or it may be synthetic: avoid it. Alternatively, you could go to the searchbar at http://www.mercola.com and enter: "krill oil". While you are there, enter "nutritional type", and eat more in accordance with yours. Exercise moderately, for 30 – 60 mns, daily. Google: "nootropics".

The supplements, DHEA & Phosphatidyl Serine are some that I have been informed are worth trying. Ginkgo biloba is often recommended, but has mixed reviews, so check the comparative strength, and buy from a health food, or vitamin store; ask what feedback they have been getting, and what else they suggest (write down, and check them out, later, through Google, WebFerret, or your search engine, before buying).

If you are one of the 40% of people who are fairly suggestible, you may wish to consider professional hypnotherapy, or http://www.asktheinternettherapist.com/hypnosis_hypnotic_audiotapes.asp -Improving Study Skills

or at http://www.hypnosisdownloads.com/ Perfect Partners: Failing School Tests + Exam Nerves, & enter "studying", & "memory improvement" in the searchbar. At: http://www.instant-hypnosis.com/ Increase Your IQ
Some free ones on memory are at: http://www.freehypnosistreatment.com/hypnosistreatment.html *Note: Dr. Mercola at http://www.mercola.com asserts that krill oil is superior to standard Omega 3 fish oil, or that, at least the brands he recommends are, and I am persuaded that he is probably correct. See: FISH OR KRILL OIL? IS KRILL OIL 48x BETTER THAN FISH OIL? in section 81, at ezy build, or, preferably via the Mercola.com searchbar.

Lecithin* (phosphatidyl choline). A phospholipid found mostly in high-fat foods. It is said to have the ability to improve memory and brain processes. Lecithin is necessary for normal brain development. Lecithin capsules are available, but many people prefer the soft lecithin granules. These are a nice addition to fruit juice smoothies, adding a thicker texture. Lecithin is oil-based, and it gets rancid easily. It should be refrigerated (from health food stores). Worry; see section *6, page N first; try the free CBT, hypnotherapy, relaxation methods, EFT, and see sections 42, page i; weblinks, & 3, page O first

  3. well think it this way, last minute study actually never helps, if you learned for a full year for it, you don’t need it, and if you didn’t learned for a full year, you don’t need it.

but if you are stressed, you definitely are going to fail. learn something about stress, and try some sort of meditation etc, it really helps a lot.
